Kathmandu. The government has recommended Nepali ambassadors to 20 different countries. A cabinet meeting on Thursday recommended 20 people, including eight from the foreign service and 12 politicians, as ambassadors, a minister said.
Bishnu Pukar Shrestha for China, Dan Bahadur Tamang for South Africa, Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal for Spain, Basudev Mishra for Sri Lanka, Milan Tuladhar for Russia, Kailash Pokhrel for Australia, Dilliraj Poudel for Malaysia and Shanta Rijal for Israel have been recommended.
Similarly, Jyoti Pyakurel for South Korea, Prof. Dr. for Denmark. Ram Sogarath Ray Yadav, Nawaraj Subedi has been recommended as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Similarly, Naresh Vikram Dhakal has also been recommended as an ambassador.
Similarly, Foreign Ministry employees Ghanshyam Bhandari, Harish Chandra Ghimire, Tirtharaj Wagle, Dornath Aryal, Sushil Kumar Lamsal, Bharat Kumar Regmi, Nirmal Raj Kafle and Durga Bahadur Subedi have also been recommended as ambassadors.
Shrestha, who will be recommended as Nepal's ambassador to China, is the leader of the CPN-Maoist Center. Those who have been recommended as ambassadors will now have a parliamentary hearing and if the names are approved from there, the appointment will be made by the President after the consent of the country concerned.
