Government Of Nepal Declared 2 Days Public Holiday Day In Nepal

Kathmandu. The government has decided to grant public leave two days a week. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday has decided to grant public holidays on Saturdays and Sundays of the year.
Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that the government has decided to grant public leave on Saturday and Sunday with effect from May 20. Similarly, Minister Karki also informed that it has been decided to maintain office hours from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm with effect from May 20.
Minister Karki said, "It has been decided in the cabinet meeting to maintain office hours from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm and give two days off on Saturdays and Sundays as a trial to be implemented from June 20, 2079 BS."
