Kathmandu. Operating commercial banks' net profit has increased. Banks have earned Rs 33.46 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year. This is 7-70 percent more than the six months of the previous fiscal year.
Himalayan has not disclosed its financial details. The bank had earned a net profit of Rs 653.2 million in the first six months of the previous year.
As of mid-December of the current financial year, Global IME Bank has been ranked number one among the most profitable banks. The bank, which earned Rs 2.31 billion in the first six months of the previous year, has earned a net profit of Rs 2.66 billion till mid-January of the current fiscal year.
