 Preliminary details of the 12th National Census 2078 have been made public. According to the Central Statistics Office, the population has increased by 2.7 million in the last 10 years. According to the preliminary data of the 12th National Census, the population is 291,92,480. Compared to the June 11 National Census 2068, the population has increased by 27 lakh 97 thousand 976. In the National Census 2068, the population of Nepal was 26.494 million.
According to the preliminary details of the 12th census, there are 1,42,91,311 males and 1,49,1,169 females. According to which, there are 600,000 more women than men.
In 10 years, the population growth rate has been zero point 93 percent.
Similarly, the preliminary data of the census of 2078 BS has found that Kathmandu, the federal capital of Nepal, has the largest population. Kathmandu has a population of 2 million 17 thousand, according to the Central Statistics Office.
After this, out of 77 districts of Nepal, the Himalayan district Manang has the lowest population. According to the department, only 5,645 people live in Manang. This year's census found that the Himalayan district has a relatively low population and the Terai district has a high population density.
The population growth rate is the highest in Lumbini at 14 percent in 10 years, according to a preliminary population report released by the Central Statistics Office on Wednesday.
Similarly, in Madhesh Pradesh, the population has increased by 13 percent while in Gandaki Pradesh, the population has increased the least. Preliminary census data shows that the population has increased by less than 10 percent in other states.
